Services and Events in our Churches over the next two weeks
On Saturday 23rd May 2026 at 12.00 noon at Hilton Church there will be a TKC prayer space open for us to pray for those who do not yet know Jesus to hear His call and to respond to it and follow Him.

On Sunday 24th May 2026 it is Pentecost Sunday, sometimes known as The Birthday of the Church, and there will be services as follows:
At 9.30am at Brookfield Church a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside and our Pioneer Minister, Revd Vanessa Kirby, will preach;
At 11.00am at Stainton Church a service of Holy Communion at which Revd Laura will preside and Revd Vanessa will preach; and
At 4.00pm at Hilton Church there will be a service of Evensong led by Revd Vanessa.
The scripture passages set in the Lectionary for Pentecost are:
- Acts 2:1-21 [or Numbers 11:24-30]
- Psalm 104:26-36, 37b
- 1 Corinthians 12:3b-13 [or Acts 2:1-21]
- John 20.19–23 or John 7.37–39

On Tuesday 26th May 2026 at 9.30am at Stainton Church; there will be a half-hour Church Family Prayer Gathering.
On Wednesday 27th May 2026 at 10.00am at Brookfield Church there will be a service of Holy Communion.
On Thursday 28th May 2026 there will NOT be a Drop-in at Brookfield Church – the Drop-in is taking a week off.

On Sunday 31st May 2026 it is Trinity Sunday when we celebrate our God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is also a 5th Sunday so there will be a single Church Family 5th Sunday Special service of Holy Communion at 10.30am at Brookfield Church at which our Pioneer Minister, Revd Vanessa Kirby, will preside and at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preach.
This Church Family service will be followed by a Church Family Barbeque (BBQ) in the Vicarage Garden at 89 Low Lane, Middlesbrough TS5 8EF, courtesy of the Wild family, when everybody will be most welcome to share in this time of fellowship (you might like to bring a picnic chair if you have one).
Editor’s note: There will NOT be a service at Stainton Church or at Hilton Church on 31st May.

- Isaiah 40:12-17, 27-31
- Psalm 8
- 2 Corinthians 13:11-13
- Matthew 28:16-20
The Diocesan Reflection for Trinity Sunday will be given by the Venerable Andy Broom, Archdeacon of the East Riding. Archdeacon Andy reflects on the Gospel passage set for that day (Matthew 28:16-20). The Reflection can be found at this link form about the Thursday of the previous week.
On Tuesday 2nd June 2026 at 9.30am at Stainton Church there will be a half-hour Church Family Prayer Gathering.
On Wednesday 3rd June 2026 at 10.00am at Brookfield Church there will be a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside.
