Our Church Services

Services and Events in our Churches over the next two weeks

On Friday 6th June 2025 at 12.00 noon at Hilton Church there will be Prayer for Thy Kingdom Come led by Revd Laura.

On Saturday 7th June 2025 at 12.00 noon at Hilton Church there will be Prayer for Thy Kingdom Come led by Revd Laura

On Saturday 7th June 2025 at 2.00-5.00pm there will be Hilton Open Gardens in aid of Hilton Church funds. Eight gardens in the village will be open to the public for visiting. Tickets will be for sale at the church from 1.30 pm on the day.  The cost is £10 per person which includes tea and cake at one of the houses.  Admission is free for wheelchair users, their carers and children under 13 years old. The ticket will include a map showing which gardens are open.  This ticket will need to be shown on entrance to each property.

On Sunday 8th June 2025 – Pentecost Sunday there will be services as follows:

At 9.30am at Brookfield Church a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside.

At 11.00am at Stainton Church a service of Holy Communion at which our Pioneer Minister, Revd Vanessa Kirby, will preside; and

At 4.00pm at Hilton Church a service of Evensong led by Revd Marie Edwards.

The lessons set in the Lectionary for Pentecost are:

  • Acts 2:1-21
  • Psalm 104:26-36,37b
  • Romans 8:14-17
  • John 14:8-17

On Tuesday 10th June 2025 at 9.30am at Stainton Church there will be a half-hour Plurality Prayer Gathering.

On Wednesday 11th June 2025 at 10.00am at Brookfield Church there will be a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar Revd Laura Wild, will preside.

On Sunday 15th June 2025 – Trinity Sunday there will be services as follows:

At 9.30am at Hilton Church a service of Morning Praise led by Julia Ardley, Authorised Lay Minister.

At 9.30am at Brookfield Church a “Breakfast Church” service of informal worship, led by our Pioneer Minister, Revd Vanessa Kirby, with discussions, quizzes and simple refreshments [Editor’s note: there will NOT be Holy Communion at this service]; and

At 11.00am at Stainton Church a service of Holy Communion at which Revd Laura Wild will preside.

The lessons set in the Lectionary for Trinity Sunday are:

  • Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31
  • Psalm 8
  • Romans 5;1-5
  • John 16:12-15

On Monday 16th June 2025 at 2.00pm at Brookfield Church (Hall) there is the third session of our fortnightly Plurality Bible Study “Companions on our Journey” when we shall be looking at Rahab. These study sessions are open to anyone from any of the three Churches in our Plurality, will last about one hour, and will be led by our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild.

On Tuesday 17th June 2025 at 9.30am at Stainton Church there will be a half-hour Plurality Prayer Gathering.

On Wednesday 18th June 2025 at 10.00am at Brookfield Church; there will be a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside.
