Services and Events in our Churches over the next THREE weeks

On Sunday 28^th APRIL 2024 – Easter 5 there will be services at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside, as follows:

At 9.30am at Brookfield Church – Holy Communion; and

At 11.00am at Stainton Church – Holy Communion (followed by the 2024 APCM); and

At 4.00pm at Hilton Church – Evensong

 The lessons set for Easter 5 are:

• Acts 8:5-12
• Psalm 22:25-31
• 1 John 4:7-end
• John 15:1-8

The Diocesan Reflection for Easter 5 is given by the Sam(antha) Nicol, Diocesan Director for Strategic Transformation. Sam reflects on the Gospel set for the day (John 15:1-8). The Reflection can be found at this link.
 

On Tuesday 30^th April 2024 at 9.30am at Stainton Church there will be a half-hour Plurality Prayer Gathering.
On Wednesday 1^st May 2024 at 10.00am at Brookfield Church there will be a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside.

On Sunday 5^th MAY 2024 – Easter 6 – there will be a single Joint service of Holy Communion at Hilton Church for the three Churches in our Group (Plurality) at which Revd Marie Edwards will preside.

Note: There will NOT be a service at Stainton Church or at Brookfield Church on that day.

The lessons set for Easter 6 are:

• Acts 10:44-end
• Psalm 98
• 1 John 4:7-end
• John 15:1-8

The Diocesan Reflection for Easter 6 will be available at this link in due course from about the Thursday of the preceding week. 
 

On Tuesday 7^th May 2024 at 9.30am at Stainton Church there will be a half-hour Plurality Prayer Gathering.

On Holy Wednesday 8^th May 2024 at 10.00am at Brookfield Church there will be a service of Holy Communion at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside.

On Thursday 9^th May 2024 – Ascension Day - and the beginning of “Thy Kingdom Come 2024” (see below in this e-News for more details of TKC) - there will be services for the whole Church Family (Plurality) led by our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, as follows:

At 4.00pm at Brookfield Church a service of Evening Prayer for Ascension Day; and

At 7.00pm at Stainton Church a service of Holy Communion for Ascension Day

On Sunday 12^th May 2024 – Easter 7 – there will be services of Holy Communion in our Churches as follows:

At 8.00am at Hilton Church at which our Vicar, Revd Laura Wild, will preside;

At 9.30am at Brookfield Church at which our Vicar will also preside [Editor’s Note: This service will be followed immediately by the Brookfield Annual Meetings]; and

At 11.00am at Stainton Church [Editor’s Note: At the time of writing the President for this service is still to be confirmed}.

The lessons set for Easter 7 are:

• Acts 1:15-17, 21-26
• Psalm 1
• 1 John 5:9-13
• John 17:6-19
